The tune “Give/Take” by lo-fi band Porridge Radio is dreammmmmyy. Shoegazing grit. Dana Margolin’s monotone apathy gradually turns into raw yearning throughout; building in intensity and volume in cohesion with the rest of the band. Bass, guitar, drums and 80’s style synths. I want more.
“Don’t Ask Me Twice” is a candid stream of confused consciousness. The lead vocalist explicitly screams of their contradictory emotions. The track is much punkier than its predecessor “Give/Take”. I don’t know what I want either, but that’s ok, if not a little chaotic… A bit like this tune actually.
P.s the band merch is cool.
