It seems well documented that this album is full of songs of lost love and the raw feelings of a break down in a relationship. It doesn’t take too long to realise this is the binding theme. Dana’s voice has a delicate quality that stands out on the opening tracks ‘one by one’ and ‘catch’. It’s a strong start, perhaps one is expecting the collection of songs to hit a weak point. That doesn’t happen. The songs and the melodies keep coming, ‘good instead of bad’, yesterday is gone’, ‘other than’, you can just take your pick. The strength in these songs are in the understated delivery, from the folky to the more indie sounds. In a few years we may be looking back at this as a classic album.
